About the role of Marketing Automation Specialist
As a Marketing Automation Specialist at Ahlsell, you will play a central role in our digital and customer-driven development. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing automated customer journeys that enhance the customer experience, increase loyalty, and drive measurable business results. You will work closely with marketing, e-commerce, sales, and IT to ensure a relevant, personalized, and seamless experience throughout the customer journey, utilizing marketing automation, customer data, and AI.
This is a role for you who want to combine analysis, technology, AI, and business understanding, and see the clear impact of what you build.
Your main focus will be on
- Designing, implementing, and optimizing automated customer journeys based on business goals and KPIs
- Building and further developing segmentation, behavior-driven triggers, and lead scoring models
- Developing omnichannel flows that strengthen relationships throughout the customer lifecycle
- Driving A/B tests and continuously optimizing campaigns based on data and insights
- Optimizing messaging and content in customer journeys to maximize engagement and conversion, including being able to produce and adapt simpler copy and content
- Ensuring data quality, structure, and GDPR compliance in all flows
- Contributing to the development and potential procurement of the MA platform
- Exploring and implementing AI-based solutions for personalization and predictive analytics where it creates business value
Are you the one we are looking for?
We are looking for someone who combines analytical skills with decisiveness. You enjoy taking ownership and have a good ability to drive initiatives all the way from idea to implementation. You are comfortable working cross-functionally, can create consensus, and translate complex data into clear insights that lead to direction and decisions. At the same time, you are a pedagogical and trustworthy person who thrives in an organization where working methods and structures evolve in line with the business.
Above all, you are motivated by creating solutions that make a concrete difference – both for the customer experience and the business!
To succeed in the role, you need:
- Several years of experience in Marketing Automation and CRM in a data-driven environment
- Experience working with segmentation, automated flows, and conversion optimization
- A good understanding of customer data, customer journeys, and personalization
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and the ability to create momentum in environments with many stakeholders
- Comfortable working towards clear KPIs and business goals
- A relevant post-secondary education
- Fluent communication in Swedish and English
It is a plus if you also have:
- Experience from B2B, retail, or omnichannel
- Worked in a larger or complex organization
- Experience with analytics tools such as Matomo, Google Analytics, or similar
- Understanding of system integrations and data modeling
